Scania has joined hands with the Traton Group to officially launch the NEXT ERA tractor series, fully fulfilling its long-term commitment of "In China, For China". Tailor-made for China's highly competitive long-haul transportation market, this series leverages Traton's modular technology and insights into the local market. It will be produced at Scania's Rugao production base and promoted through an exclusive sales and service system that operates in parallel with the group's existing channels in China.

The NEXT ERA represents a dual breakthrough in Chinese manufacturing and Chinese innovation. The local R&D team has efficiently completed product development, precisely meeting the core needs of Chinese long-haul transportation customers in terms of fuel economy, reliability, and driving experience. The smart cockpit and driving system are integrated with the local digital ecosystem, comprehensively enhancing operational efficiency, driving safety, and operational convenience. The first batch of vehicles will be delivered in March 2026.
