Hesai Releases Fermi C500 Chip, 256-Channel LiDAR Gets Upgraded
On November 24th, Hesai Technology launched the Fermi C500, a dedicated main control chip for LiDAR based on the RISC-V architecture. Simultaneously, it released the photon isolation safety technology and the upgraded 256-channel safety LiDAR ATX. Currently, the photon isolation technology has been fully integrated into mainstream LiDAR products such as ATX and ETX.

Adopting the independently controllable RISC-V architecture, the Fermi C500 integrates MCU, FPGA, and ADC. It is the world's first dedicated LiDAR chip that holds both functional and cybersecurity certifications and is equipped with the built-in point cloud intelligence engine IPE. It can intelligently filter out noise and adapt to complex weather conditions, providing high-precision perception support for autonomous driving.
