On November 21st, the 23rd Guangzhou International Auto Show officially opened. This 10-day automotive gala, themed "New Technology · New Life," covers an exhibition area of 220,000 square meters and gathers 1,085 display vehicles, including 93 global debut models and 629 new energy vehicles (NEVs) – accounting for a high 58%. This figure echoes the 57.8% penetration rate of domestic NEV passenger cars in the first 10 months of the year. As a "barometer" of the automotive market, this year’s show clearly reflects the industry’s transformation trend: NEVs have covered all market segments from A0-class to luxury supercars, and range and charging anxiety have been significantly alleviated through technological innovation.

Domestic brands delivered a standout performance. GAC Group and BYD both participated with "exclusive pavilion" displays. GAC Hyper A800 revealed its interior details and obtained an L3 autonomous driving test license for 120km/h, while "Qijing," a joint brand developed with Huawei, made its official debut. BYD’s Denza Z sports car and Yangwang U9 Xtreme also premiered at the show. Joint-venture brands are accelerating their transition to smart electrification: BMW’s cooperation with Momenta and Mercedes-Benz’s partnership with Huawei have been implemented, and pure electric architectures such as Audi’s PPE and Mercedes-Benz’s MMA were showcased collectively. Meanwhile, fuel-powered vehicles are breaking through with high-level intelligent driving – GAC Toyota’s Fenglanda Intelligent Edition brings advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to the 150,000-yuan price range.
