Tesla Cybercab Enters Mass Production, First Unit Rolls Off the Line at Texas Gigafactory
Tesla officially announced that the first mass-produced unit of the Tesla Cybercab, the all-electric autonomous ride-hailing vehicle, has rolled off the production line at the company's Texas Gigafactory. Earlier, Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that he is highly confident in the prospects of the Tesla Cybercab, estimating that the cost of the new car will be below $30,000, with mass production set to begin as early as the end of 2026 and no later than 2027. Regarding operating costs, Musk said they could drop to approximately 20 cents per mile (around 0.9 RMB per kilometer) over time.

Musk noted that the vehicle will not be equipped with a steering wheel, accelerator or brake pedals, and will feature Tesla's full self-driving (FSD) system. In addition, the car's seats adopt an integrated conceptual design with a segmented backrest and cushion. A retractable center armrest and a central display screen are also fitted in the middle.
