XPENG has unveiled the official name of its Robotaxi business: “XPENG YOYO”, a friendly moniker that aligns with the positioning of autonomous mobility services. On the same day, XPENG launched a dedicated Robotaxi page on its official website and rolled out the XPENG YOYO autonomous ride-hailing mini program. The service will gradually open to the public via invitation codes, allowing ordinary consumers to experience XPENG’s self-driving taxis soon.

Unlike many dedicated Level 4 autonomous driving companies, XPENG’s Robotaxi leverages a technology path upgraded from mass-produced intelligent driving systems. Backed by its in-house developed Turing AI chip, second-generation VLA large model and full AI infrastructure, XPENG extends its automotive AI capabilities directly to Robotaxi, bridging Level 2 ADAS and Level 4 fully autonomous driving. This approach has allowed XPENG to rapidly progress from R&D and mass production to full-loop verification and public access within this year. It has now entered the critical commercial validation phase, bringing fully autonomous ride-hailing one step closer to real-world operation.
