On July 8, Xiaomi Auto officially unveiled its new standalone automotive brand, SkyNomad, with the Chinese name Xuntian. The brand’s official positioning is “a new name for space and lifestyle.” Distinct from Xiaomi Auto’s core marque, SkyNomad operates as a fully separate product line, with its debut model positioned as an extended-range SUV slated for launch in the second half of 2026.

Preparations for the new brand date back well before the announcement. Public records from the National Intellectual Property Administration show Xiaomi Technology filed trademarks for “Xuntian” and “SkyNomad” starting in August 2025 across multiple international classes including office supplies, machinery and leather goods, reflecting long-term cross-category planning.
