This July, Aston Martin will return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed with its full S-Series lineup. As a landmark annual celebration for performance car enthusiasts, Goodwood has long served as a stage for automakers to showcase their engineering strengths. This year, Aston Martin will bring three models — the DB12 S, Vantage S and DBX S — spanning sports cars, grand tourers and high-performance SUVs to cater to different visitor preferences. For those familiar with the brand, the S badge always signals more extreme performance tuning, and this collective debut sets an energetic tone for the premium performance segment in the second half of the year.

As the centerpiece of the lineup, the DB12 S packs formidable mechanical specifications. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 680 hp at 6,000 rpm and sustains 800 N·m of peak torque from 3,000 to 6,000 rpm, with a top speed of 325 km/h. The calibrated powertrain features an upgraded launch control system that cuts shift times by over 50%, trimming the 0–100 km/h acceleration time by 0.1 second to 3.5 seconds. Its new-generation Cornering Brake Control optimizes coordination between brake slip and vehicle control modules. The predictive function stabilizes body posture during trail braking, and enhanced rear brake distribution keeps the car on a more precise line from corner entry to apex.
