Ford CEO Jim Farley: The Company Cannot Afford to Miss the Chinese Market Again
Recently, in an interview with the media, Ford CEO Jim Farley talked about the importance of the Chinese market once again. Farley said, "Ford missed the Japanese market and also the South Korean market; we cannot afford to miss the Chinese market again." Not long ago, Farley visited China and test-drove models from several local Chinese manufacturers, and then quickly realized that these models are far more advanced than those in other regions around the world. This gap has also formed a potential risk of fierce competition.

As previously reported by Ford’s official media, Farley brought a total of five Chinese electric vehicles back to the United States, including the Xiaomi SU7, which is his personal favorite. Farley said, "We selected five excellent Chinese electric vehicles, then shipped them to Chicago by plane, and drove them to Dearborn. Since then, we have been test-driving these cars."
