NIO Auto announced on May 27 that its NIO World Model will receive a major update, with the new version debuting exclusively on the upcoming executive flagship SUV, the NIO ES9. This makes the ES9 the first model to feature the latest NIO World Model, generating significant excitement among prospective owners.

Beyond the ES9 launch, all existing users with vehicles running Banyan, Cedar and Cedar S intelligent systems will receive the update via OTA in June. Notably, this is a full-coverage rollout: users who purchased Banyan models in 2022 and those who took delivery of Cedar/Cedar S models in 2026 will receive nearly identical intelligent driving functions and experiences simultaneously, ensuring no long-term users are left behind.
