HIMA Responds to Seat Anti-Pinch Controversy
In response to the heated discussion sparked by a viral online video related to the zero-gravity seat of the Stelato S9, the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) has issued an official statement, saying that it immediately verified the on-site situation, completed a comprehensive technical review and multi-scenario safety tests, and gave a clear response to the issues of concern to users.

The official statement noted that the second-row zero-gravity seats equipped on some HIMA models come standard with an anti-pinch function. The system senses changes in seat force in real time, and will stop movement and rebound for protection once the trigger threshold is reached. After technical verification, the scenario in the viral online video did not reach the trigger threshold of the anti-pinch function, resulting in the situation shown in the video. At the same time, officials emphasized that user safety has always been the primary consideration in product design, and the valuable feedback from users has been included in the product’s special optimization plan. It will continue to polish product details in the future to protect users' safe travel.
