IONIQ Officially Enters China, First Production Car to Debut at Auto China
Hyundai Motor has officially announced that its pure electric brand IONIQ is fully entering the Chinese market, simultaneously unveiling two new energy concept cars—the VENUS CONCEPT and EARTH CONCEPT—globally. At the upcoming 2026 Beijing Auto Show, IONIQ’s first production car tailor-made for the Chinese market will make its global debut. Over the next three years, the brand will launch a series of mid-to-large SUVs, coupes and other pure electric and range-extender models in China.

Unlike other foreign brands, IONIQ is not simply replicating its global standards for the Chinese market. Instead, it adheres to a "human-centric" core philosophy, leveraging localized Chinese technology, talent and brand building to deeply integrate Hyundai’s global top-tier quality with China’s world-class manufacturing capabilities. The brand will also build the exclusive IONIQ Universe electric ecosystem, placing Chinese consumers at the center and providing full-scenario electric mobility services tailored to their needs.
