The Ford GT Mk IV posted a lap time of 6:15.977 at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, setting the fastest record for a U.S.-built production road car and ranking third among all production cars. As the final edition of the third-generation Ford GT, it will be limited to 67 units. It uses a specially tuned 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost engine producing over 800 horsepower, along with Multimatic ASV racing suspension, a longer wheelbase, and a bespoke racing gearbox.

Ford factory driver Frédéric Vervisch described the car as ultra-responsive and confidence-inspiring, allowing precise control at the limit. The record underscores the Ford GT Mk IV’s extreme performance and cements its place as a modern American supercar icon.
