All-New Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV Unveiled, Empowered by MB.OS Architecture for Comprehensive Evolution
On April 1, the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV made its global debut, featuring the brand’s self-developed MB.OS intelligent architecture and achieving all-round upgrades in design, intelligence, power, and ride quality, ushering in a new era of full-size luxury SUVs. Externally, the model adopts a refreshed family design language: the "twin star emblems" inside the front headlights are arranged vertically for a stately presence, and the taillights incorporate three star emblems, sharing design DNA with the S-Class for premium appeal. It also comes with a new generation of intelligent digital headlights using micro-LED technology and high-performance chips, cutting energy consumption by about 50%, reducing weight by over 25%, and expanding high-resolution lighting range by around 40%. The ULTRA RANGE long-distance illumination reaches up to 600 meters, supported by cornering lights and partial high-beam dimming to ensure driving safety.

With a wheelbase of 3,135 mm, the vehicle comes standard with a 3-row, 7-seat layout. All seats are power-adjustable, and the EASY-ENTRY function simplifies ingress and egress. The newly added seat vibration massage function uses motors in the cushions to relax deep muscles and relieve fatigue on long drives. The powertrain is also upgraded with newly revised inline 6-cylinder and V8 engines paired with a 48V ISG mild hybrid system. The inline 6-cylinder engine sees a 12% torque boost to 560 N·m, while the V8 engine raises maximum power to 395 kW and peak torque to 750 N·m, combining strong performance with smooth riding. The MB.OS architecture enhances intelligent interaction and infotainment, redefining the benchmark for full-size luxury SUVs.
