According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, China’s auto exports reached 523,000 units in October 2025, a year-on-year increase of 28%, exceeding 500,000 units for the second consecutive month. From January to October, cumulative exports totaled 4.86 million units, up 31% year-on-year, with full-year exports expected to surpass 6 million units. NEVs remain the main driver of exports: 187,000 NEVs were exported in October, accounting for 35.8% of total exports, with growth rates of 42% and 57% in the European and Southeast Asian markets, respectively.

The optimization of export structure is reflected in two key aspects: first, high-end breakthroughs – models such as BYD Tang EV and NIO ET5 are priced above 40,000 euros in Europe, competing directly with local brands; second, accelerated industrial chain overseas expansion – CATL’s German factory has officially started production, providing localized supporting services for European automakers, while Huawei’s Intelligent Automotive Solution Business Group participated independently in the Guangzhou Auto Show and secured cooperation with Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and other brands. A matchmaking meeting between Chinese and Vietnamese auto parts associations was held concurrently with the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, indicating that China’s auto industrial chain is deeply extending to Belt and Road countries, and the industry has established core capabilities for global competition.
