WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD; HKEX: 0800) showcased its flagship Robotaxi GXR at NVIDIA GTC 2026 and announced a strategic partnership with Grab, the Southeast Asian super-app and WeRide shareholder, to expand the autonomous vehicle into key Southeast Asian markets. Powered by WeRide’s in-house HPC 3.0 high-performance computing platform, NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor SoC, and NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion development platform, the system cuts AV kit costs by 50% and slashes total lifecycle ownership costs by 84%.

WeRide Robotaxi GXR to Launch Public Service in Southeast Asia

WeRide and Grab have already started trial operations in Punggol, Singapore, becoming one of the region’s first providers of public robotaxi services. Full public service is set to begin on April 1. WeRide’s autonomous driving solutions are now active in 40+ cities across 11 countries; the Robotaxi fleet is targeted to reach 2,600 units by the end of 2026 and tens of thousands by 2030.
