Spy shots of the highly anticipated next-generation fuel-powered Porsche Macan have emerged in Europe. The powertrain lineup will be comprehensively upgraded to include gasoline and plug-in hybrid options: a 2.0T turbo four-cylinder, a 3.0T turbo V6, and a plug-in hybrid system. Two naming possibilities are under consideration: keeping the Macan badge to preserve brand equity, or reviving the old internal codename Cajun to clearly distinguish it from the all-electric Macan and avoid positioning overlap.
