China Automotive Engineering Research Institute (CAERI) has officially launched its Southern Test Ground, the first national‑level facility in China integrating land and air testing capabilities. It covers more than 100 scenarios for intelligent connected vehicles, low‑altitude aircraft, NEVs, and complete vehicles.

Equipped with an 8.5‑km high‑speed circuit, China’s largest dynamic plaza, and a dedicated service hangar, the test ground supports speeds up to 280 km/h and flight altitudes up to 1,200 meters, providing end‑to‑end testing for flying cars and eVTOL systems.
