New BMW i3 Completes Extreme Cold Durability Test
The new generation BMW i3 has now entered an intensive testing phase in an all-round way. Its prototype has successfully completed the extreme cold durability test and is set to make its global debut on March 18th.

The new BMW i3 will be equipped with the brand's next-generation electric drive technology. Mike Reichelt, Head of the Next-Gen Product Line, said: "The new BMW i3 inherits the pure driving DNA of the BMW 3 Series and integrates the typical characteristics of a sports sedan into the all-new model. Meanwhile, BMW breaks the traditional boundaries of pure electric mobility with innovative technologies and unlocks the full potential of electric drive technology." The control unit composed of the "Heart of Joy" and BMW's Dynamic Performance Control software elevates driving dynamics to an all-new level. In the mass production preparation stage, the test team is conducting the final calibration of driving dynamic components on snow-covered roads and lakes in Sweden.
