On February 9, BYD announced on its official Weibo that on February 4, 2026 (local time), it officially entered the Egyptian market in partnership with Egypt's Mansour Group, launching three models for local consumers: the BYD Dolphin Surf (Seagull), BYD Sealion 6 EV (Song PLUS EV) and BYD Sealion 6 DM-i (Song PLUS DM-i).

Not long ago, Li Yunfei, General Manager of BYD's Brand and Public Relations Department, revealed that BYD plans to sell 1.3 million vehicles in markets outside China in 2026, a nearly 25% increase from the over 1.04 million overseas deliveries in 2025. Public data shows that BYD has now established production bases in Thailand, Uzbekistan and other countries, its Hungary plant is about to start production, and its overseas market covers more than 110 countries.
