Recently, the People's Government of Quanzhou City and CATL officially signed a cooperation agreement for a new energy battery production base project. The two parties will conduct in-depth cooperation in the R&D and manufacturing of new energy batteries, adopting advanced green manufacturing technologies to construct an intelligent, zero-carbon modern factory. This collaboration will improve industrial chain supporting facilities, drive the coordinated development of upstream and downstream enterprises, and jointly expand the new energy industrial ecosystem.

The partnership not only provides CATL with new production capacity to support global energy transition but also helps Quanzhou foster strategic emerging new energy industries, serving as a key layout for developing new quality productive forces at the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Moving forward, CATL will rely on technological innovation and green manufacturing to work with Quanzhou in advancing the high-quality development of the new energy industry, injecting new momentum into the regional economic green transition.
