Recently, BYD officially launched the eMAX 9 DM-i luxury MPV at the Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS). The model, known domestically as the BYD Xià, is offered in Advanced and Premium variants.

The model is priced between PHP 2.678 million and PHP 2.998 million (≈ RMB 324,700–363,500). It follows BYD’s signature “Dragon Face” design language inspired by Chinese aesthetics of “mountain and water harmony.” Distinctive elements such as dragon-whisker grilles and hawk-eye headlights complement its sleek body lines, delivering a premium yet versatile presence suited for both business and family use.

The eMAX 9 DM-i is powered by a dedicated 1.5T hybrid engine paired with a 200 kW electric motor. It offers 95 km and 170 km of pure electric range depending on variant, and up to 1,000 km combined range when fully fueled and charged — balancing urban commuting efficiency with long-distance travel capability.
