Amap (AutoNavi) Launches International Version of AutoSDK to Empower Chinese Automakers Overseas
On November 3, Amap (AutoNavi), a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, officially launched the international version of AutoSDK, leveraging its extensive domestic experience to address navigation-related challenges faced by Chinese automakers expanding overseas.

The AutoSDK International Edition integrates a complete suite of online navigation capabilities — including positioning, search, map rendering, route planning, and navigation data services — while also offering offline navigation and Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) support. It currently covers over 170 countries and regions worldwide, supporting 19 major languages, including English, German, and Thai, helping automakers establish a competitive edge in overseas markets.
To ensure reliable deployment, Amap has formed a strategic partnership with HERE Technologies, a global leader in location-based services, ensuring authoritative and compliant overseas map data. The company has also established independent operational entities in the EU and Southeast Asia, with data centers in Germany and Singapore, to enhance local service capability and compliance. Its modular “Lego-style” architecture allows automakers to customize features flexibly while maintaining a consistent global user experience.
