Geely Auto Group and Renault Group jointly announced that the first locally built Geely EX5 EM‑i (sold domestically as Geely Galaxy Starship 7) has rolled off the production line at the Ayrton Senna Industrial Park. Mass‑produced local units will be delivered starting the fourth quarter this year. Another GEA‑platform all‑electric model, the Geely EX2 (Geely Xingyuan), is scheduled to begin production this December. The Ayrton Senna facility completed technical revamps early in 2026.

Now one of Brazil’s most advanced automotive manufacturing bases, the plant can assemble battery‑electric, plug‑in hybrid and flex‑fuel vehicles to meet diverse South‑American market demands. Local production marks Geely’s strategic shift from pure export to in‑country manufacturing in South America. It will help the brand better adapt to local demands, cut costs and lift market competitiveness.
