Changan Auto Boosts Overseas Compliance amid China’s Auto Global Expansion
On September 4, Changan Auto released a statement regarding its overseas compliance development. China’s automotive industry is undergoing a critical shift from “product export” to “system‑level global operation. In 2025, China’s auto exports hit 8.32 million units, with domestic manufacturers investing in automotive manufacturing across over 80 countries. Alongside growing scale, challenges such as overseas market‑order regulation and inadequate cross‑border compliance capacity have become increasingly prominent.

Against this backdrop, three Chinese government authorities jointly issued the Guidelines on Overseas Competitive Conduct and Compliance Development for the Automotive Industry. China’s first industry‑specific overseas compliance document contains 20 provisions in four chapters. It regulates competitive behaviours covering pricing, distribution channels and marketing promotion, and specifies full‑chain compliance requirements for overseas project assessment, intellectual property, anti‑monopoly, green‑low‑carbon development and more. Changan commits to strengthening its overseas compliance system to support sustainable global business growth.
