Seven FAW‑Volkswagen and Jetta Brand Models Launched in Kazakhstan
On August 19, FAW‑Volkswagen held an official vehicle launch event in Kazakhstan, unveiling a total of seven models under the Volkswagen and Jetta brands in this core Central Asian market. The product portfolio covers SUVs as well as A‑segment and B‑segment sedans, offering Kazakh consumers a richer, diversified range of vehicle options. Senior representatives from FAW‑Volkswagen, Volkswagen Group (China) and Kazakhstan’s general agent Orbis Group attended the launch. Dealer representatives, mainstream media and industry KOLs also witnessed the milestone occasion. Brand experience zones, test‑drive stations and interactive exhibition areas were set up at the venue to fully demonstrate FAW‑Volkswagen’s innovative technologies and product strengths.

FAW‑Volkswagen regards overseas business as a key growth driver and strives to become “a leading Chinese automotive joint‑venture exporter”. Last September, the first batch of FAW‑Volkswagen complete vehicles were exported to the Middle East, marking a historic “from zero to one” breakthrough for its overseas operations. In June this year, the Jetta brand officially entered Uzbekistan. Exported models combine German manufacturing craftsmanship with localised adaptations to precisely meet the diverse demands of customers in emerging markets. Guided by its business philosophy of “Rooted in the domestic market, reaching out to global markets”, FAW‑Volkswagen has completed adaptive development for multiple vehicle models to accommodate overseas climate conditions, road conditions and regulatory requirements. It has also built a full‑chain overseas support system covering technology, production, logistics and after‑sales services, demonstrating the increasingly sophisticated overseas operational capabilities of China’s automotive industry.

Looking ahead, FAW‑Volkswagen will keep exploring emerging markets. It will coordinate full‑chain overseas exports, localised production and multi‑market expansion for the Audi, Volkswagen and Jetta brands. Leveraging systematic strategic planning and full‑resource synergy, the company will deliver high‑quality automotive products to consumers worldwide. In terms of export modes, Jetta will initially focus on complete‑vehicle exports of the VS7 and VS5. Moving forward, phased localised production is planned to strengthen its footprint in Uzbekistan. In cooperation with Uzbekistan’s Alyans Auto Company, SKD (Semi‑Knocked‑Down) assembly of the Jetta VS5 and VS7 is scheduled to kick off in Tashkent by the end of 2026 to achieve scaled‑up growth.
As China’s only state‑owned‑enterprise‑controlled automotive joint venture, FAW‑Volkswagen’s vigorous advancement of overseas exports is a solid implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative. It also represents concrete efforts to deepen international cooperation and foster a new development paradigm. By bringing its products to global markets, FAW‑Volkswagen facilitates the global deployment of Chinese industrial factors and premium production capacity, contributing to the smooth flow of domestic and international dual circulation. It embodies FAW‑Volkswagen’s resolve to establish itself as “a new benchmark for high‑quality development and high‑level opening‑up”, showcases the new image of high‑quality global expansion by China’s manufacturing sector, adds fresh dimensions to Sino‑German cooperation, and sets a new benchmark for win‑win collaboration across the global automotive industry.
