Recently, Tesla China began rolling out the 2026.14.13 system update, covering all its current models including Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X, with phased delivery to users in batches. The biggest highlight of this upgrade is the official integration of the Doubao large language model (LLM) into the vehicle’s infotainment system, marking a major localized upgrade for Tesla in the Chinese market and addressing the long-criticized shortfall in localized infotainment interaction for domestic users.

In today’s domestic new energy vehicle market, large language models have almost become standard equipment for smart cockpits. Tesla’s move is essentially aimed at better aligning with the usage habits of domestic users. With the LLM integration, the naturalness of in-car voice interaction, information query capability and scenario linkage experience will all see notable improvements, bringing greater convenience to daily vehicle use. It also reflects that Tesla is attaching growing importance to localized adaptation in the Chinese market.
