Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) released its half-year financial results for 2026, reporting operating revenue of 276.92 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 54.80%, and net profit attributable to parent shareholders of 43.284 billion yuan, rising 41.98% year-on-year, maintaining robust overall growth. Breaking down performance by business segment: power batteries remain the core revenue driver with H1 revenue hitting 192.125 billion yuan. The energy storage division delivered the most remarkable performance, generating revenue of 53.261 billion yuan, representing an 87.54% year-on-year surge and emerging as the company’s second major growth engine. Revenues from battery materials, recycling and mineral resource businesses reached 18.811 billion yuan, up 67.23% year-on-year, with all diversified segments posting strong growth.

Production capacity metrics also reflect solid operational performance: CATL’s current installed battery capacity stands at 525 GWh, with H1 output reaching 498 GWh and a capacity utilization rate of 94.86%. An additional 764 GWh of production capacity is currently under construction, ensuring ample long-term supply reserves. In response to the recently launched industry-wide initiative regulating supplier payment terms, CATL pledged full support, stating that a healthy and stable industrial chain underpins high-quality industry development. The company emphasized its responsibility to uphold a fair and credible market environment and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of suppliers, sending stable signals to upstream and downstream partners across the supply chain.
