Recently, media reports indicate that McLaren has showcased a five-seat hybrid SUV model to dealers. Attendees benchmarked it against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, though specific details remain scarce beyond scattered design descriptions.

Codenamed "P47" internally, the SUV will be powered by a hybrid V8 engine, likely sharing a similar powertrain architecture with the flagship hypercar W1. This 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged MHP-8 V8 engine, McLaren's second in-house developed unit, delivers 916 horsepower and approximately 900N·m of torque in the W1.
