smart China recently released spy shots of the production version of the smart #2 via its official social media accounts. The concept version of the model, unveiled at this year’s Beijing Auto Show, is designed by the Mercedes-Benz design team and built on a brand-new architecture developed by smart’s in-house R&D team for ultra-compact vehicles. The production model is scheduled to make its global debut at the Paris Motor Show this October.

The all-electric model delivers 400 km of CLTC range, supports DC fast charging that tops up the battery from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes, and comes with vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, ideal for daily urban commutes and short getaways. Its standout feature is a turning radius of just 6.95 meters, making U-turns, narrow street navigation and parking exceptionally easy – amplifying smart’s signature advantage of compact, agile driving for city use.
