NIO ES8 Hits 130,000 Deliveries, Tops Large SUV Sales in H1
On July 22, NIO announced a new milestone for the all-new ES8: 130,000 units delivered just 305 days after its launch in late September 2025. For a premium large all-electric SUV priced in the 400,000-yuan segment, this delivery pace is a strong testament to its popularity in the high-end family vehicle market. According to retail data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) for the first half of 2026, the ES8 sold 78,618 units cumulatively, claiming the top spot in both the large SUV and 400,000-yuan vehicle segments.

The data also reveals a shifting landscape in the three-row full-size SUV market. In H1 2026, all-electric three-row large SUVs recorded over 185,400 units in total sales, leading all powertrain categories. Range-extended three-row SUVs, previously a popular option, ranked last, with total sales reaching only 60% of their all-electric counterparts. It is clear that battery-electric vehicles have become the mainstream choice for high-end family buyers rather than a niche option, and NIO has perfectly aligned with this market trend.
