BYD Energy Storage secured a landmark European contract with Greenvolt Power to co-develop the Siedlce energy storage facility in Poland, the country’s largest battery storage project with a total capacity of 600MW/2.4GWh. BYD will supply its Horus energy storage system equipped with the world’s largest 2710Ah dedicated energy storage Blade Battery. Prior to this deal, BYD had delivered two smaller Polish storage projects totaling 1.6GWh, cementing local market recognition.

Construction of the Siedlce facility is scheduled to start Q3 2026, with full commercial operation targeted by the end of 2027. Driven by global energy transition trends, demand for grid-scale energy storage continues rising rapidly. BYD leverages its Blade Battery technology and large-scale manufacturing advantages to secure landmark international storage projects, strengthening its European market position for future global expansion.
